Well, we get colds anyway. I was hoping to paddle last weekend – a long weekend due to Martin Luther King Jr Day – but I developed a sore throat that got worse and worse, to the point where I went to the doctor and got some antibiotics. I’m afraid that strands me on land this weekend as well. I’m on the mend and don’t want to wreck it.
Meanwhile, planning continues for the coming summer. There will be some good weekends for paddling out to Sandy Hook, and maybe Jamaica Bay. I’m also looking at some teaching assistant opportunities, and looking to level up some of my certifications. Gotta work on that roll! So while I’m not physically on the water, I’m there in spirit.
